Colin trained as an engineer and joined Plastic Products in Hamilton, later to be taken over by Alex Harvey Industries (AHI). With AHI he held a number of senior management positions over a period of some thirty years.
Currently living in Central Lower Hutt, Colin is married and has two grown up sons and five grandchildren. He has been a keen golfer all his life, although his golf has been interrupted while he has been renovating his home.
